Sentence Memorizer

Read the sentence, then hide more and more of it as you recite from memory. Tap a hidden word if you need a peek — fewer peeks means it's truly memorized.

How progressive hiding works

This is the classic technique actors, students and speakers use to learn lines word-for-word. Read the full text aloud a couple of times, then press “Hide more”: about a third of the words disappear, and you recall them as you recite. Keep hiding more until you can deliver the whole text from a blank screen. Each hidden word shows only its first letter as a hint, and you can tap it for a quick peek. It works for speeches, poems, scripture, vocabulary sentences and lines for a play — in any language.

Frequently asked questions

What can I memorize with this tool?
Anything you need word-for-word: speeches, poems, scripture verses, lines for a play, song lyrics you wrote, key sentences in a foreign language, or definitions for an exam. Famous quotes are built in to practice with, and the “My own text” option takes any text you paste.
Why hide the text gradually instead of all at once?
Recalling something just before you forget it is what moves it into long-term memory. Hiding a third at a time keeps recall difficult but possible — you succeed at each stage, which is far more effective (and less frustrating) than staring at a fully blank page from the start.
Is my pasted text uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser — the text you paste never leaves your device and disappears when you close the page.
